Reminder

This is a reminder that there is no one aside from God who can truly make you whole. You do not need to fill that void with someone / something else. The missing piece has always been God.

You are more than your past and what you’ve done. You are more than what others have done to you, because their actions are a reflection of them, not you – and that’s okay. You are more than your relationship status and what you own. Your identity is found in God and God alone.

If you want love, learn the real definition of love and be loving. If you want hope, cling onto the promises of God instead of temporary pleasures of the world. Don’t try to find it externally. Happiness is circumstantial, but joy isn’t. True, meaningful, and lasting joy can only be found in God, so align your desires with God’s will for your life. Pray for Godly wisdom and discernment to know His truth.

Feel your emotions and show up authentically, but never let emotions take hold of you or act out on them. Never compromise your faith for what the world has to offer, lest you be in danger of losing your soul. Don’t settle for anything unless it reflects the love and glory of God.

To be faithful in the little things. To stop complaining and to learn gratitude. To let go of pride and control. Know that self-pity and worry are forms of pride. You don’t know what is going to happen. Let go of outcomes and let go of the fear of what will go wrong. It is always about the person you’re becoming instead of the outcome. Jesus is both the means and the end.

The Lord gives and takes away – even suffering is a blessing eventhough we may not see it now.

“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

Romans 5: 3 – 5
